A Family Affair

I actually had a couple of extra models laying around that I wasn't sure what to do with. Then it hit me! I would turn those models into a family affair.

I was with my girls last night. I brought all of my brushes and paints and such and asked them if they wanted to paint. The answer was a resounding YES!! I got the old newspaper spread out. They both got old t-shirts on and set to work.

My oldest daughter (Claire Huxtable if you recall from a previous blog) decided she would paint High Exemplar Kreoss. The choice suited her since Kreoss is a bossy warcaster and "Claire" is a bossy older sister. Behold the finished piece!!!!!

Note the highlighting on the raised surfaces of his robe! How is that for attention to detail????

My youngest (the infamous Lex Luthor) chose the Repenter light warjack for her project. I liked this choice for her because the Repenter is meant to get right up in your grill and cook your nibblets. "Lex" will not hesitate to get all up in your Kool-Aid and make you rue the day you were born. :). Here is her finished model......

Look closely and you will see the seething orange flame just beginning to burst forth from the flamethrower on the 'jack's left arm. Someone is about to get bar-b-qued!!

The work on these models was theirs' and theirs' alone. I think they really enjoyed it

  2. This is quite inspiring. My kids know (without being told, I'll add) not to touch my paints and minis - I leave them out on my desk all the time - but now I'm thinking it might be time to let my daughter try her hand...
